Recognition Week 2023
As the NRHH E-Board, we have been hard at work preparing so that members of our Residence Hall Communities can be recognized for all of the amazing work that they do. We put together the following video as a little kick-off! We encourage you to share it with your RA teams or Hall Councils to get them excited. We wanted to let you know everything we are doing so that you can help promote Recognition Week!
Each day, we will be posting on Instagram and encourage you all to follow us and like the posts!
On Monday, March 27, we will be kicking off Recognition Week by recognizing all NRHH GA Members! At our meeting (8:00 at Palladium), we will be distributing NRHH merchandise with our new logo and doing a recognition activity.
On Tuesday, March 28, we will be recognizing all of our essential workers. This includes the facilities and housekeeping teams, Campus Safety Officers (CSOs), and the Incident Response Team (IRT). A banner will be hung in each building to recognize those who work in the building and snacks will be delivered to the three IRT offices for those team members to enjoy while working this week.
On Wednesday, March 29, we will be recognizing the amazing Building Leadership Teams (BLTs) and Faculty Fellows in Residence (FFiRs) in each building. A bag with either NRHH branded water bottles or umbrellas will be gifted to all of our awesome BLTs and FFiRs. Our friends over at IRHC have also been encouraging each hall’s Director of Recognition and Development (RaD) to plan something to recognize the RHDs, RHADs, and RHRMs in each hall.
Finally, on Thursday, March 30, we will be recognizing all of the student leaders, including Resident Assistants (RAs), Office Assistants (OAs), and Hall Council E-Board Members We have keychains for all RAs, goodie bags for all OAs, and mechanical pencils for all Hall Council E-Board members. To encourage people to pass on the recognition, we have also included QR codes to submit OTMs and postcards that people can fill out and deliver. NRHH is also sponsoring dessert at RA Soirée that night and we will be distributing additional NRHH-branded merchandise.
Lastly, if you would like to pass on the recognition by nominating someone to join NRHH, we encourage that! You can also directly share the NRHH application with your RA team and Hall Councils. Applications are due at 11:59pm on Friday, March 31. The deadline for submitting March OTMs will be extended one day, so those are due at 11:59pm on Saturday, April 1.
